Laborers pay tax in wages. If they reach the capitalist class they can let money work for them & not pay tax if they lose money in an investment too. We are talking about apples and oranges with this false dichotomy non sequitur straw man talk.
American dream is small business entrepreneurship (i.e., capitalism) not being a lifelong laborer. The tax issue only plays with automatons without initiative. Moreover those paying tax by wage lose the greatest, which is why raising taxes on them would hurt their home economy.
But the real issue should be the pathway for small business in a friendly regulatory environment that allows for competition. Is there a future for me and my kids? That’s the real question, not did a billionaire pay enough capital gains.
