Jim Newell from Slate writes in hindsight of 2016 Election that: 1) Clinton was a flawed candidate, 2) MSM narrative was balogna and 3) the establishment Clinton Democratic party is finished. These are all good intermediate conclusions, albethey reached late in the game.
His final conclusion, premised on the aforementioned set, however, was that Democrats need to find more white votes while maintaining - explicitly - what he refers to as, “anti-racist” and “anti-sexist” positions. There is a hidden assumption in this platform which is a trap door or a missing board - in other words a non sequitur (you can’t get there from here). That implicit premise is sexist and racist are terms established on the foundation of 1960s anti-white-male Civil Rights which protect identities except for whites and are an implicit accusation against white males. It’s difficult to attract whites to your party when you’re accusing their identity of infractions prima facie per se.
